Our Story

Meet the Comeaux family. Don and Rochelle met in 2011, got married in 2015, had their first child, a son named Jovian, in 2018 and had their daughter, Soleil, in 2020. Don and Rochelle’s entire relationship was predicated on adventure…their first conversation was about biking across the United States (which they did less than a year later) and they connected early on over their bucket list items, which included thru-hiking the PCT for Rochelle and hiking to Everest Base Camp for Don (both of which they accomplished before having kids).

Rochelle’s first career was as a teacher and she still feels passionate about teaching and education, although she has found her true calling as a Realtor in the Carson Valley. Don is passionate about mountain biking and has worked in numerous roles involving bike maintenance and outdoor gear sales. Most recently he has also obtained his real estate license in preparation for joining the family business.

Jovian is a smart and funny 3 year old who loves riding his bike, being outside, playing with cars and dinosaurs and reading. He also loves Halloween and all things spooky. Within his first 6 months of life Jovian had taken a road trip around the US and traveled around Spain and Portugal. He loves staying in “cabins” (any accommodation that isn’t home) and is always excited to go on an adventure.

Soleil is a fiercely independent and confident 2 year old who loves animals, swimming and reading. Soleil has been to Park City, Portland and Austin and recently spent a week in Jamaica. She just learned how to talk and tells everyone she sees that she loves them.

Above all, Don and Rochelle hope to raise their kids to love and appreciate the world and all the people in it. They truly believe that travel opens one’s eyes in a way nothing else can, and they hope to gift their children with a childhood full of unique experiences, humbling encounters, different languages and an education that emphasizes empathy, curiosity and adventure.
